27.     SPEED, CONSUMPTION AND ENDURANCE: 

 

a)         Speed about 14.2knots (in ballast) / about 13.2knots (in laden) on about 34.5mts IFO380 CST at C.S.R. of main engine including one generator + about 0.2mts MDO;

 

b)        eco speed about 13.0knots( in ballast) / about 12.0knots ( in laden) on about 26.5mts IFO380 CST at about 70% SMCR of main engine including one generator + about 0.2mts MDO; 

 

c)         Consumption in port :

Port idling:  about 3.0mts IFO (one generator working) + about 0.2mts MDO

Port working: about 4.2mts IFO (two generators working) + about 0.2mts MDO;

 

d)        Above speed/consumption described herewith based on good weather conditions max upto and include BF scale 4 and Douglas sea state 3, in deep sea/waters,no adverse current and no negative influence of swell.

 

e)         Vessel is consuming MDO in port for fuel oil pre-heating and heating of accommodation and in case of emergency and / or manoeuvring in/out of ports and when navigating in shallow, narrow or other constraint waters etc. Charterers to provide sufficient quantity of MDO during sea passages for operating auxiliaries/generators.

 

f)         Endurance based on C.S.R. of Main Engine and 100% capacity of F.O. tanks at service speed of 13.2 knots and above M/E F.O.C. to be about 20,000 nmiles.

 

g)        Eco speed is not applicable for the main engine running-in-period which not exceeding maximum 1500hour after delivery as per main engine operation manual. After running-in-period, owners/masters have option to run full speed/rpm of 2 hours each day then additional fuel will be consumed accordingly.

Fuel supplied to fulfill following conditions:

4. Asphaltenes content less than 2/3 of conradsen carbon number (ccr)

5. The fuel consumption rates are based on ISO conditions and net

Calorific value of fuel of 40,700 kj/kg (tolerance 3 pct)

 

Charterers shall only supply suitable fuels as per specification to enable main propulsion and auxiliary machinery to operate efficiently and without harmful affects. Fuels to be mineral based products of stable and homogeneous nature complying with current cimac recommendations and iso standard 8217 or any subsequent amendments thereof, and shall not contain any added substance or chemicals, orchemical waste, phenols, styrenes, dcpd, inorganic acids, used or waste  lubricating oils, refinery waste, tar oil or any other potentially  harmful component, which jeopardizes the safety of ships or adversely affects the performance of the machinery or is harmful to personnel or contributes overall to additional air pollution.

 

Bunkers supplied must meet ISO8217:2010 international standard also must comply with Annex VI of Marpol 73/78 and/or any relevant European Union/U.S.A directive.

 

In the event vessel under Charterers’ instructions is required to trade/call areas (i.e. EU, ECA, SECA, California) where local regulations require specific grade/quality of bunkers (i.e. MGO/Sulphur content less than 0.1% etc.) charterers shall arrange to supply vessel with required bunkers in order to comply with such regulations.

 

Vessel will participate in the DNV fuel quality testing program. Samples will be taken during each bunkering at the vessel’s manifold which to be considered as the binding sample. Charterers to supply bunkers with the agreed specifications. If bunkers supplied do not conform to the mutually agreed specifications then at the request of owners, the charterers shall, in their time and expense, remove these bunkers from the vessel latest before redelivery. Fuel testing costs to be equally shared between owners and charterers.

 

Sludge removal, if any, to be for charterers account and time.
